Taking a course of Greek and Roman mythology is one of the greatest courses someone could ever take. For me this should be a great practice and chance to learn more about these two rich cultures. Learning about mythology from Greece and the old empire of Rome means a lot of fun and a huge amount of knowledge that is going to be absorbed.

Something that is pretty awesome about the Greek mythology is all the Gods from the Olympus, with their incredible virtues and superhuman powers they had. For me mythology from Greece is even better that the Roman one; nevertheless, the Roman still has a lot to show to us.

An interesting fact we can pay attention to is how the divine entities vary a lot from one mythology to the another. In the Roman one, they named all the Gods with the name of the planets we know nowadays. In the Greek mythology, they name the Gods based on what the old legends brought with the pass of years. Some of the names of the Gods in the Roman mythology are: Jupiter, Neptune, Pluto, Juno and Venus. In the Greek mythology we have: Zeus, Poseidon, Ares, Hades, Hera and Hestia.

I love to learn more about the Greece and see how these Gods treated people on earth based on the legends. There are a lot of stories that show how Gods had babies with humans and the result was a semi God. Half God and half human; these people had super powers and some of the virtues their parents had. I believe this must be an amazing course we can all take before going to Europe, so that we can soak into some of the great and amazing cultures in this continent.

Being at quarantine and with many people staying at home; nature has been giving an important break. Animals of all breeds, plants and flowers of all kinds have been taken a time of rest with this coronavirus issue.

COVID-19 obligated us to stay at home. Governments worldwide have declared a curfew that demands a quarantine to protect all vulnerable people from getting infected with coronavirus. These decisions have helped nature to emerge again and heal after all these years of great damage caused by men; moreover, this curfew has demonstrated how well these restrictions have been for animals and plants.

Did all this happen to help nature recover from the huge damaged caused to it?.. that is a pretty good question that we all must have asked ourselves already. Even though this situation seems to be working as a time of break for nature, there is no way to know if the virus was an act of nature to have a break from us, but something we know is that after the quarantine actions must be taken to help nature.

When all this is done, most probably people are going out again. Tourist are going again to all these protected areas to visit, and they are going to bring pollution back as it used to be. Changing the rules after this quarantine is going to play a very important role when it comes to save nature. Governments should keep or implement a plan to protect all these animals, plants, and protected areas even more than they were being protected.

It depends on us and on how much we want to get back from our mistakes. We should have reacted before this pandemic and not until it was too late.

Costa Rica has shown one of the greatest and most efficient health systems to fight the recent virus affecting all countries world wide. Our country, between the rest of central american countries, has demonstrated a very respectful position when it comes to dealing with this sanitary crisis.

Ever since the first case appeared in CR, the administration has implemented rules and restrictions to have a better understanding of what we have do to confront the pandemic. Even though these actions on the first days were not as effective as they should have, the government did well; moreover, they have improved the strategy against this invisible enemy. One of these rules that helped a lot to reduce the spreading of the virus was the curfew which was very strict at the very beginning. Specialists and the health minister took a myriad of decisions that stopped cases tremendously.

In the last days Costa Rica has dealt with a considerable increase of cases with infected people. Most of the new cases have been reported from people who come from Nicaragua. It is not a secret for anyone that Nicaragua is struggling with a dictatorship that has kept the virus information hidden to its people. Because Nicaraguans do not feel secured in their country, they prefer coming to Costa Rica where they can find more stability during this global crisis. In addition Nicaragua had been in an economic crisis even before the COVID-19 issue; therefore, running away to a country were you can find better guaranties does not sound bad for them at all.

Costa Ricas has tried to help as much as possible foreigners with protection, but clearly the government has not tolerated this situation with our brother country Nicaragua. All this because a very good percentage of Nicaraguans were people who either were here in CR when this started, and they decided to go to their country believing that there were no cases there or people who were in Nicaragua, got infected and now they are just looking for safety. It is curious how these people left Costa Rica even when they were warned not to. Now what happens is that they want to be back after finding out that the situation was even worse in their country.

A lot of costa ricans feel uncomfortable with the current issue. We have given shelter to foreigners during the crisis; nevertheless, the problem in the border of the country with Nicaragua is getting out of control. Cases of people infected are in their highest rates showing a notable increase, going just from 5 to 10 cases per day to over 100 per day now.

This country has done everything possible to keep every single person safe, and foreigners are not the exception. The only big concern is the result of having all this immigrants infected in our lands.

Two years ago my family and I decided to include a special member to the family. Many years ago, when I was just a child, I wanted to have a dog as a pet; nevertheless, my parents did not listen to me and never got me a dog. It was two years ago that we all, as a family, took the decision of including a dog to the family.

Getting a pet is a a decision that has to be thought twice because it takes a lot of hard work if you really want to take real care of this little creature; therefore, you have to be committed to taking care of the pet like if it was a another member of the family.

I still remember the day when my mother, brother and I went to see Kira at the place where we were going to get her. It was one of the greatest days because it was the first time we were going to have a pet. First time we went to see her, she was just two months old, and she was the sweetest thing you can ever thing of. We could not bring her home because she was way too young.

When she was 3 months old we went to pick her up. I swear to God that day was one of the best days of my life. We drove to Santa Maria de Dote early morning with an unexplainable happiness just to bring that little dog home with us. We arrived the place and saw her for the second time. She was slightly bigger than the first time we went to see her; nonetheless, she was as sweet as the first time.

We brought her home and I must admit that those days were tough ones. Kira used to pee all over the house and she was very disobedient. Fortunately, after a few weeks she learned to behave and we could have a break after being around 4 weeks dealing with all these things.

Having and taking care of an animal is not easy, and it takes a lot of patience, but if you love them the way they are, you will more than pleased to take care of them. Love them, enjoy them and spend time with them because they are true friend who are going to be there for you always no matter what.

The use of technology has been implemented in several ways to help students and teachers strengthen the learning process. Although some teachers prefer to keep it old fashioned, technology is inevitable for today’s learning methods. Technology has become one of the best tools in classrooms to learn in many ways; therefore, it should be used in all classrooms to reach the best results.

We all should get familiar with technology and let it help us as much as possible in class; nevertheless, we have to know how to use it in the most responsible way.

Racism has been always a problem of our society in many aspects. Even though a lot of people try hard to fight against discrimination of race, other do not seem openly willing to change their minds. This problem has been seen worldwide, and it has affected black people, of course. When it comes to African countries, this racism and discrimination is going to be noticeable even more than in other countries. In Africa there are a lot of white people; some of them still believe that being white in a territory where a lot of black people live, give them the right to feel superior to these black population.
