Two years ago my family and I decided to include a special member to the family. Many years ago, when I was just a child, I wanted to have a dog as a pet; nevertheless, my parents did not listen to me and never got me a dog. It was two years ago that we all, as a family, took the decision of including a dog to the family.
Getting a pet is a a decision that has to be thought twice because it takes a lot of hard work if you really want to take real care of this little creature; therefore, you have to be committed to taking care of the pet like if it was a another member of the family.
I still remember the day when my mother, brother and I went to see Kira at the place where we were going to get her. It was one of the greatest days because it was the first time we were going to have a pet. First time we went to see her, she was just two months old, and she was the sweetest thing you can ever thing of. We could not bring her home because she was way too young.
When she was 3 months old we went to pick her up. I swear to God that day was one of the best days of my life. We drove to Santa Maria de Dote early morning with an unexplainable happiness just to bring that little dog home with us. We arrived the place and saw her for the second time. She was slightly bigger than the first time we went to see her; nonetheless, she was as sweet as the first time.
We brought her home and I must admit that those days were tough ones. Kira used to pee all over the house and she was very disobedient. Fortunately, after a few weeks she learned to behave and we could have a break after being around 4 weeks dealing with all these things.
Having and taking care of an animal is not easy, and it takes a lot of patience, but if you love them the way they are, you will more than pleased to take care of them. Love them, enjoy them and spend time with them because they are true friend who are going to be there for you always no matter what.
